The napoleonic era drew my interest ever since I started playing historical wargames. Whyle most of our local gamers play this period in 28mm there was never a real reason for me to start an army. The type of uniforms in this time are of such detail that painting a lot (and you need a lot) in this scale is just insane, especially because I always wanted to field a british highland brigade. Therefore the idea was shutdown in the planning phase. But a fellow gamer came to me with the brilliant idea to just go with 6mm instead of 28 for playing Warlord Games Black Powder.
For my ongoing Cartel/bank robbery guys projekt for Spectre Operations I decidet to do something new for the bases.
I wanted to give them the intention of standing inside a bank (or possibly the hacienda of an enemy cartel, who knows;). The bases will get a nice marble floor scattered with some fitting things like shells and bank notes.
Modern British Army section
For a bit of modern 28mm skirmish gaming I decidet to again build up a Black Watch unit. The miniatures I´m using are Empress Minatures British army soldiers. Other than my Bolt Action WWII project these dudes all wear camouflage uniforms so that was a hard thing to tackle.
For now I finished my Ii clan warband. I added 6 Perry Ashigaru and 2 monks (Kensei and GTStudio) Since I mostly use them for IHMN and Daisho these got me now a formidable skirmish force. Daisho is a skirmish game set in feudal Japan (which even could include mystical creatures and such) based on the IHMN ruleset.
We are playing a lot of In Her Majesty´s Name games lately and I tried the Samurai list for the first time a few weeks ago. Since that I´m expanding my collection of Ii clan Samurai to use them either there or for Ronin.
Waller´s orders this evening were clear. Project X should get their hands on a Venom probe. Get in, steal the venom and get out with it again. A quiet simple plan disregarding the fact that Bane and his mercenaries were the ones defending the Venom… But its “Suicide Squad” for a reason.
Its been a while since I last played Batman Miniatrure Game (or BMG from now on) and since Knight Models dropped the 2nd edition shortly we thought about getting back in the game and write an aar.
We decidet to go with a reputation value of 300 and not using any strategies to get back in the game easy.
